Danny Tang has gained Triton Poker’s Season 3 Ivan Leow Player of the Year race, ending with 3,700 factors. The 32-year-old Hong Kong resident cashed 19 occasions throughout the 4 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series festivals that comprised the season, accumulating over $10.1 million in prize cash throughout these scores. For the win, Tang was awarded $200,000 and a model new trophy, which was designed and handmade by London silversmiths Fox Silver. This POY race is known as in honor of the late Ivan Leow, who sadly handed away in the fall of 2022. Leow was reportedly instrumental in Triton getting off the floor as a founding member of the tour alongside Richard Yong and Paul Phua.
“Ivan was a tremendous poker player and an even better friend to everyone at Triton,” stated Phua at Tang’s trophy ceremony. “Not a day goes by when we don’t think about him, and it was important for us to be able to remember him with such a prestigious award.”
“I have to give it to Ivan looking down on us and giving me his blessing. It means a lot because I am one of his own guys,” stated Tang after receiving the trophy. “For me this is the most prestigious award that can be won in poker right now.”
