Nearly two years after being sued by a Las Vegas on line casino over unpaid markers, one of many National Hockey League’s star forwards is being accused of betting on his personal video games.
In November 2019, San Jose Sharks forwards Evander Kane was sued by the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas over $500,000 value of unpaid markers. Earlier this yr, he filed for chapter, and claimed $1.5 million value of playing money owed within the submitting.
Last Saturday, hockey journalist Mark Scheig tweeted pictures from Anna Kane’s Instagram account that alleged her husband Evander was betting on his personal video games. The screenshots from Anna’s Instagram tagged each the San Jose Sharks and the NHL.
One of them was a photograph of a e book titled “Casino Gambling For Dummies” with the caption “When ur own teammates give you this book I think they are trying to tell you maybe you are not the best at the tables bud.”
Another was only a clean gray display that tagged the league and stated “Can someone ask Gary Bettman how they can let a player gamble on his own games? Bet and win with bookies on his own games?”

Another hockey journalist, Exavier Pope, quote tweeted Scheig and stated that she needed to promote her wedding ceremony ring and that there was a risk of the Kane’s dropping their residence due to playing money owed.
Kane, who signed a seven-year $49 million contract with the Sharks earlier than the beginning of the 2018-2019 season, denied the allegations. He stated he would cooperate with an investigation launched by the league.
Before latest allegations from Kane’s spouse, the kind of playing that Kane was concerned with was up within the air. In his chapter submitting, the $1.5 million in playing money owed was cited as being “at casino and via bookie.” Even if he did guess on sports activities, the NHL solely prohibits its gamers from betting on hockey.
According to an ESPN report, “several longtime Nevada bookmakers from multiple casinos said they had never seen or heard of Kane betting on sports in town.” Of course, there are many different avenues for Kane to position bets. But if he did guess on video games, it seems unlikely that he did it by way of regulated channels.
If Kane have been discovered responsible of betting on hockey video games, it’s unknown what the penalty can be. Baseball’s all-time hit chief Pete Rose was discovered to be betting on baseball throughout his time as a supervisor and was subsequently banned from the sport.
